Your challenge

As a NORM Supervisor, you are responsible for the safe and proper execution of NORM projects. You coordinate activities, supervise NORM personnel and monitor project planning, quality and progress. This requires craftsmanship, precision and machinery in the right hands. That is why we are looking for a NORM Supervisor to coordinate operations, lead the team and ensure that all work is carried out safely, responsibly and in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines. You work under the direction of and report to the Project Manager and/or Radiation Protection Expert Coordinator.

What will you do?

With safety as your priority, you ensure that NORM activities are carried out according to schedule and in compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.

  • Prepare for the start-up of NORM projects.
  • Ensure that NORM projects are carried out safely, responsibly and with due consideration for health and the environment, in accordance with the ALARA principle.
  • Provide employees with the necessary instructions, information and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safe execution of the work.
  • Monitor compliance with legislation and regulations, internal policies and procedures, and report any deviations to the HQSE department.
  • Conduct HQSE and project execution inspections and take appropriate action where necessary.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including daily reports, EPD registrations, and monitoring and recording quantities and production figures.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with applicable requirements, standards and guidelines, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and VCA**.
  • Carry out other duties that reasonably fall within the scope of the position.

Responsibilities and authority

You are responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient execution of NORM projects and play a coordinating role in day-to-day project operations.

  • Provide operational leadership during the execution of NORM projects.
  • Deliver NORM projects within the agreed requirements for time, quality and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with HQSE policy and the ALARA principle.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment on the NORM project.

This role may involve working under physically demanding and project-specific conditions. Any relevant occupational risks and physical demands are documented in:

  • the Risk Assessment & Evaluation (RI&E);
  • the project-specific Task Risk Assessment (TRA).

Who are we looking for?

You are an experienced professional with strong leadership skills and a clear commitment to safety. While we dismantle structures, you keep safety and execution firmly under control.

You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly and know how to bring people together to deliver work safely and efficiently.

  • Minimum MBO-level vocational education and working proficiency, preferably with a mechanical engineering background.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Diploma in Radiation Protection Supervision (TMS NORM).
  • VOL-VCA certification.
  • BHV (Emergency Response) certification.
  • Knowledge of project-based working, safety and standard quality control procedures.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and requirements.
  • Good command of Dutch, both written and spoken. Knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • A driving licence (category B) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, assertiveness, accuracy and the ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Willingness to further develop your knowledge and skills through training and professional courses.
